The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment, including front‑end loaders, backhoe loaders, skid‑steer loaders, and haul trucks.

• Perform daily or pre‑shift inspections on vehicles and operate them safely.
• Operate all mobile and heavy‑duty equipment on site (dozers, loaders, haul trucks, etc.).
• Maintain clean and orderly tools, equipment, and working areas.
• Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
• Assist with related duties such as maintenance/repair, yard loading, and other tasks as needed.
• Understand and execute verbal and written instructions.
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts.
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations and respond appropriately.
• Adhere to CEMEX and OSHA regulations at all times.
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position or related field.
• Ability to work required shift hours, including weekends, overtime, and flexible scheduling.

• Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime, and weekends.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and outdoor work.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location.

• Perform all job functions, which include walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing, and operating controls.
• Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
• Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate safely around heavy rolling equipment.
• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
