You will work with cutting‑edge technology and be responsible for delivery of patient care in the behavioral health setting in accordance with CVMC standards of practice and AACN guidelines. The psychiatric mental health nurse will demonstrate the scope of practice as recognized by the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) for Psychiatric‑Mental Health Nursing, promoting integrated and comprehensive health and wellness through prevention, education, assessment, diagnosis, care, and treatment of psychiatric‑mental health disorders across the life span.

Psychiatric nurses practice transpersonal caring to promote the health and healing of humanity. We are a Level I inpatient adult psychiatric facility with 19 beds.

Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in Sierra Vista, Arizona and is a 106‑bed, Joint Commission accredited facility offering a number of specialty services, including a Level III Trauma unit, Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement, Level I Nursery, and an American College of Radiology accredited facility. • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred.
• Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting preferred.
• Must obtain CPR and HANDLE WITH CARE certification within 90 days of hire.
