12 hour shifts | 6:45pm-7am

Sign‑on Bonus – up to $20,000 for 2 or more years of experience. Previous employees must have been away for at least 2 years to qualify.

Our Emergency Department is a 22‑bed unit within a Level III Trauma Center. Nurses thrive in an environment that values teamwork, professional growth, and clinical excellence.

How You’ll Contribute:
As an RN in the ED, you will operate within a trauma III hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Patient populations served include neonate, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, older adult.

Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred.
• Active Arizona or Compact RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, HAZMAT and Handle with Care certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• TNCC required within one year of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in Sierra Vista, Arizona and is a 106‑bed Joint Commission‑accredited facility offering a Level III Trauma unit and a range of specialty services.
