As an Employee Health Nurse at Canyon Vista Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of the caregivers who make exceptional patient care possible every day. As an Employee Health Nurse, you will help foster a healthy workforce through employee wellness initiatives, occupational health programs, regulatory compliance, and injury prevention efforts. How You'll Contribute
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Employee Health Nurse coordinates occupational and employee health services that support the health, safety, and readiness of Canyon Vista Medical Center's workforce. The position is responsible for employee health onboarding and clearance, immunization and tuberculosis surveillance, respiratory protection requirements, occupational exposure management, work-related illness and injury follow-up, communicable disease evaluation, confidential employee health records, and employee education.
The Employee Health Nurse collaborates with Human Resources, Infection Prevention, Quality and Patient Safety, Safety, department leaders, providers, and other organizational stakeholders to reduce occupational risk, maintain regulatory compliance, support workforce readiness, and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
The position supports continuous readiness for applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements and practices within the Arizona Nurse Practice Act, organizational policies and procedures, applicable occupational health requirements, and demonstrated competency.
The Employee Health Nurse oversees employee health, on-boarding requirements and maintains current employee health files. Monitors annual PPD's, vaccines, and respirator fittings. Tracks work related illnesses, injury and blood borne pathogen exposures. Other duties as requested.
Essential Functions
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical,
administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
