Role Description

The Senior Process Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Signal Hill, CA (close to the Long Beach airport). This position is responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing and operational processes for fire alarm and life safety products, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day tasks include developing and refining process flows, implementing process controls, conducting root-cause analysis for production or operational issues, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The Senior Process Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams such as product engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain to support new product introductions and scale up production. The role also involves documenting standards, training production staff on best practices, and monitoring performance metrics to drive long-term process stability.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong process design and process engineering skills to develop, optimize, and scale manufacturing and operational processes.
  • Candidates should possess process control and analytical skills to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Relevant experience with manufacturing in electronics, life safety, or regulated industries; familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is not required but beneficial.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills is a must.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and provide clear technical documentation and training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Software, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field); an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, Six Sigma) is a plus.
