The Degassing Field Technician operates and sets up all necessary vapor control equipment such as thermal oxidizers, scrubbers, and environmental monitoring equipment, in accordance with operational training guidelines and safety procedures.

• Work safely and adhere to all company and customer rules and regulations, including wearing all required PPE.
• Understand Degassing/ Vapor Control Basics.
• Perform gas testing.
• Ability to log field data accurately.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, and the general work area prior to starting any job. Inform the supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
• Assist in the general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
• Wash and clean company equipment – pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
• General housekeeping – sweep floors, take out trash, and help keep work areas clean and organized.
• Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs – return equipment and PPE back to designated areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned and all essential job duties.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of industrial experience required.
• TWIC Card.
• Must be capable of passing a pre‑employment drug screen.
• The ability to work safely and always adhere to safety standards.
• Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments, and at high elevations.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.

• Must be capable of setting up equipment for the job, including lifting and carrying hoses that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Physically able to handle large tools.
• Must be able to climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend a ladder.
• Should not have a fear of heights.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, or crawl.
