Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM
Overview Our client is an industry-leading company at the forefront of analytical testing and inspection services, providing high-quality laboratory solutions across a wide range of industries. In this role, you will perform routine and special analytical testing using Agilent GC and GC/MS instrumentation in a fast-paced laboratory environment, supporting data integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient sample analysis.
Responsibilities- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses using Agilent GC and GC/MS systems in accordance with established methods and protocols
- Follow various industry and in-house methods accurately, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Conduct routine instrument maintenance, including liner and septa changes, column maintenance, and source cleaning to ensure optimal system performance
- Apply basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve common instrument or method issues with minimal downtime
- Document all analytical work clearly and accurately using good record-keeping practices, including logs, worksheets, and electronic data systems
- Prioritize daily workload to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects or sample queues simultaneously
- Work independently with minimal supervision while communicating progress and any issues to the team or supervisor
- Collaborate with colleagues to support method execution, data review, and problem-solving as needed
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
- Hands-on experience with Agilent GC and GC/MS instrumentation in an analytical laboratory setting required
- Familiarity with chromatographic methods, sample preparation, and data analysis required
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine instrument maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and documentation standards
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and shifting demands
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work flexible schedules when required, including during peak analytical seasons or increased sample volume periods
