Auto Body Technician

• Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process.
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide whether to repair or replace components based on safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders.
• Participate in required safety meetings.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Direct the work of an apprentice when needed, including explaining procedures and addressing unusual problems or questions.
• Provide collision repair services for customers through Crash Champions, a multi-shop operator of collision repair centers in the United States.

• Ability to use frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certified.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Demonstrates expertise in vehicle repair processes, including the ability to use frame machines and perform quality repairs. Capable of supervising repair personnel and ensuring safety compliance while delivering timely services.
