Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Common Spirit Family Nurse Practitioner with Integrative Medicine Associates - Signal Mountain, you will be responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.
Every day, you will apply your comprehensive expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of health conditions across various age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. This involves patient consultations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and focusing on preventive care and health education, all within a collaborative healthcare team.
To be successful in your role, you will meticulously provide direct patient care, utilizing your specialized training and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage a diverse patient population within family medicine, under physician supervision. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency and a compassionate approach, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and optimal patient outcomes within your scope of practice.
- Obtain medical histories when necessary.
- Perform physical exams (within established protocol).
- Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines). Order diagnostic test.
- Prescribe or recommend medications for prescription for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines).
- Provide preventive health screenings and immunizations for children and adults.
- Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling.
- Masters Of Science Nursing and 1-3 years previous experience as a NP in an acute or primary care setting or equivalent RN experience, upon hire
