Assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach High School Extra Duty
In accordance with district policies and procedures, the assistant cheerleading coach should assist in promoting the type of sportsmanship that will help students acquire the basic attributes of good citizenship. The coach should assist in developing a wholesome school spirit; loyalty to their school and team regardless of the outcome of the contest; and promote a cooperative spirit between the student body, the faculty, and the school administration.
Essential Functions:
- To be responsible for the information contained in the Student Activities Program Procedures Guide and the implementation of the policies/procedures/goals therein.
- Complete MSHSAA rules meeting as required.
- Assist in organizing, scheduling, and attending all assigned practices.
- Assist with supervising the fitting and ordering of uniforms.
- Assist in supervising cheerleaders at all High School home football games, basketball games, pep rallies, and other home activities to which cheerleaders are assigned.
- Assist in preparation for competitions as directed by Head Coach.
Compensation:
The assignment is an annual appointment. A stipend will be paid for the fulfillment of the assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Certification Missouri Teaching Certificate or MSHSAA approved coaches' education program. Experience desired Prior experience as a cheerleading sponsor is preferred.
Other requirements Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education. Understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.

Requires prolonged sitting and standing; requires stooping, bending, reaching and lifting; requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials; must work in stressful and hectic environments; requires the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; may require some travel; requires physical and emotional endurance; must be able to work long and irregular hours;
and requires regular and consistent attendance and physical presence at the job.
