The RoleThis position is responsible for managing all areas of the Logistics function such as current production planning, raw pack cycle count, finished goods, warehousing, material storage, and product deployment. In liaison with the Corporate Supply Management, directs all planning activities necessary to support efficient plant operations, directs the Warehouse operations utilization, material handling, customer order volume, inbound shipments, stock transfer shipments and overflow warehousing.
Supports ICMS pillars with primary focus around manufacturing support, safety and quality.
- Creating, entering, and working with purchase orders
- Understanding and using codes and account numbers
- Identifying and processing defective materials
- Inventory control
- Working with audits
- Scheduling incoming and outgoing trucks
- Supervision, coaching, and evaluation of department personnel
- Other duties as assigned
- Coordination of production scheduling with both the corporate office and the local manufacturing department.
- Communication with external vendors and internal departments regarding logistical issues.
- Effective communications with all personnel levels.
- Participate on Leadership Team.
- Ability to become HAZWOPER certified, be an emergency response member and have knowledge of the EAP (emergency Action Plan).
- Coordinating the consistent delivery of inbound, outbound and scheduling demands across the sites.
- Plan, Organize, direct train and motivate a diverse workforce to optimize operational performance. One of the major challenges in this position is evaluating the accuracy of demand requirements and identifying discrepancies and variances.
- Ongoing identification of potential impacts based on working capital requirements within the business.
- This position requires great attention to detail and organizational skills. Key challenge is planning production in a constantly changing manufacturing environment.
- Manage all activates for coordination of raw and pack materials and line scheduling to deliver planned attainment to ensure delivery of customer case fill.
- Manage supplier through the Vertice relationships to ensure on time delivery.
- Coordinate planning of inventories with schedule planner to create cohesive activities to minimize losses.
- Maintain operational knowledge of various IT support systems.
- Maintain raw and pack materials inventories and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of raw materials waste losses to financials.
- Thinks end-to-end and takes ownership for results
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organization
- Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
- Ability to navigate and use web-based programs such as Build App, Weever, Megamation, DFOS, SPC, etc.
- Associates or B.S. Degree Preferred.
- Three to Five years’ experience in production scheduling.
- Identifies Supply Chain improvement opportunities.
- Recognizes the potential impact of change on a factor e.g. process, product and people.
- Creates a detailed materials plan and is responsible for the transition of materials.
- Understands inventory and warehouse capacity planning and communicates this effectively to the business.
