The Assistant Formulation Operator is the front-line employee who performs manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the final product. There are a variety of sub-classifications within the operator job family. Principal duties and responsibilities include: safely and effectively operating and controlling equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit; maintaining and monitoring process equipment in accordance with established procedures and processes;
maintaining and improving safety in the unit and being responsible for housekeeping in operating areas; receiving and processing raw materials using chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level; supporting and adhering to the principles of Responsible care and applicable requirements by protecting the environment and assuring the health, safety, and security of our employees, vendors, customers, suppliers, and our community;
performing additional work as assigned by the supervisor or manager; and assisting in the formulation of agricultural chemicals, including fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.
The right candidate will be a safety-focused, motivated individual who can work both independently and as a team. Your qualifications ideally include: high school diploma or equivalent required; willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation as needed to meet business obligations; strong commitment to safety; positive attitude and willingness to learn; and manufacturing experience is preferable.
