Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 to $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom courses.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 10 and 14 hours.
- Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for daily work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. - Holiday support:
Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours during the week, and occasionally on the holidays themselves. - Department resets:
You may be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Remodelling assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support other team members as needed in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally). You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You can read, write, and understand English.
- You can pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- You can operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- You have access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- You have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
