Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently, showcasing your organization and time‑management skills, building retailer relationships, and representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, while supporting teammates during seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 to $17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training through live instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are 10–14 hours.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a Hallmark‑provided mobile device, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the department. The technology is vital for reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys. You will interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers, and are responsible for entire Hallmark displays at your assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Your work will increase around seasonal peaks such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Additional days and extended hours may be required, and you may need to work on the actual holiday or weekends.
- Department resets: You may be part of a team installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, or resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically announced two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
- Team support: You are part of Hallmark’s field network and will support other merchandisers as needed within your territory.
This is a physically demanding role that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons and fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital hand‑held device for reading and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
