Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchaser / Bookkeeper to join our team in Conway, Arkansas. This position plays a critical dual role in supporting daily operations by managing purchasing activities and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage vendor relationships while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

This role requires someone who thrives in a structured environment, can manage multiple priorities efficiently, and maintains a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities Purchasing Responsibilities
  • Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, supplies, and services required for daily operations
  • Evaluate vendors based on pricing, quality, service, and reliability
  • Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships
  • Request and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorders to prevent shortages
  • Track shipments and resolve discrepancies or delays with vendors
  • Maintain purchasing records and documentation for audit purposes
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy and approval prior to payment
Bookkeeping & Accounting Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping
  • Prepare and process payroll (if applicable)
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Assist with budgeting and cost tracking
  • Support external accountants or auditors as needed
  • Maintain organized and confidential financial files
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping and/or purchasing experience
  • Experience in small to mid-sized business environments preferred
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books or similar systems)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range of $48,000 - $50,000, depending on experience.
