The Supply Chain Manager is a critical operational leader responsible for end-to-end supply chain management, including production planning, procurement/purchasing, inventory control, materials management, vendor relationships, and logistics. This role ensures the right materials are available at the right time, cost, and quality to support manufacturing operations and customer commitments while driving efficiency, service, and continuous improvement.

This position requires a strong Supply Chain leader who can coach, mentor, train, inspire, and lead team members across all supply chain functions. The right candidate will foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met across all operational areas.

Relocation Assistance
: $15,000 lump sum for renters, $35,000 for homeowners.

Compensation & Benefits
: $115,000 - $130,000 base salary + 10-15% bonus.

Job Description:

Lead and execute strategic and tactical purchasing activities across all material categories to support production schedules and business objectives.

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost reduction targets, including annual purchase price variance (PPV) goals.

Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier terms to optimize total cost of ownership.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Sales to source materials for new products aligned with specifications and margin targets.

Materials Planning & Inventory Management

Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) to align raw materials and components with production schedules.

Maintain balanced inventory levels that support operational needs while adhering to working capital and plant guidelines.

Ensure accurate and timely ERP system transactions to support data integrity, visibility, and system-driven replenishment.

Continuously improve inventory tracking, storage, and reporting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Manage purchasing operations to ensure materials meet defined quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance responsiveness, flexibility, and long-term partnership.

Monitor supplier performance against key metrics; conduct audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.

Support development and execution of procurement policies, procedures, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.

Logistics, Warehousing & Material Flow

Oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, and product control functions to ensure efficient material flow.

Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery and proper material handling.

Ensure proper documentation and system processing for all material movements and transactions.

Maintain operational alignment across departments to support efficient storage, handling, and distribution of materials.

Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members, including supervisors and planners, to build capability and drive performance.

Provide guidance in reviewing sales orders, schedules, and inventory to support effective production planning.

Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across the team.

Foster cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, and process optimization efforts.

Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance service levels.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable OSHA/regulatory requirements.

Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications Seeking:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

5–7 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.

Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.

Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and supply chain data management.

Solid understanding of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and production control.

Demonstrated ability to balance strategic sourcing with hands-on operational execution.
