Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs. Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred. Applicant must have at least six consecutive months of work experience with the same employer and no additional gaps in employment greater than six months with the last 36 months. If applicant was laid-off, providing eldercare or childcare, the six month gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history criteria will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

This position is responsible for the cleaning, storage, reassembling, testing and maintenance of hatchery processing machinery. Trains operators on proper usage of equipment during processing and makes required adjustments; and performs preventative maintenance. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- (35%) Perform and maintain the PM program which includes greasing motors, grease and lubricate chains on tray wash, buggy wash, box wash and PM setters and hatchers before each set or transfer.
- (5%) Assist maintenance supervisor with duties.
- (10%) Change single and three phase motors.
- (35%) Calibrate hatchers and setters.
- (10%) Empty offal tank.
- (5%) Respirator certification is required and maintained by testing on an annual basis.
Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as on call duties, calibrate pump for dispensing chemicals, dispense formaldehyde (5%).
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements/SafetyThe jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
PhysicalDemands and Work Environment
Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds t be able to obtain lock out/tag out certification. Must be able to regularly bend, stoop and reach above head. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor);
walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Basic hand tools, Amp probe/meter, voltage tester, welder, grinder, drill press, and cordless drill.
EnvironmentRequired to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
Personal Protective Equipment RequiredSafety glasses, Safety goggles, clear grinder shield, welding helmet, and rubber/chemical gloves are required and occasionally waterproof apron and rubber boots. Ear plugs will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed. Chemical Commonly Used: lubricants, formaldehyde and disinfectants occasionally used.
SafetyTM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
