QA Tech NS

Responsibilities

Tests and conducts routine and non‑routine analysis of raw materials, in‑process, and finished product to maintain product quality.

Inspects products at various stages of production, compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability.

Performs analytical tests on samples using instrumentation and equipment, calculating factors to verify product quality.

Collects and records results of sampling and testing to maintain a record of product quality.

Assists in implementing a total quality management program and/or trains others on total quality management.

Participates as a member of the team, contributing to development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.

Fosters strong cohesiveness regarding major issues, directs annual plans, budgets, policy changes, and resolves issues collaboratively.

Maintains familiarity with Simmons operating system principles and objectives, communicating concerns and improvement ideas.

Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

• Standing for entire shift, bending at waist; using both hands; walking.
• Lift up to 55 lbs.
• Must tolerate temperatures above 100° or below 32°; working environment is wet, cold and surfaces may be slippery.

Hair net(s), hearing protection, gloves, apron, sleeve guards (if required), mesh gloves (if using knife or scissors), and smock.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Must pass the company‑issued Quality Assurance test.
