Whatdo our Termite Technicians do?
Termite Technicians use their expertise to play a role in protecting customers' properties from wood destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician, you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:- Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps.
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Communicate critical conditions conducive to termite activity to customers and discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to the treatment process.
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
- Tolerate various environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
- Prepare the job site for treatment.
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Work comfortably at heights up to 20 feet on ladders and in small confined spaces.
- Experience in general labor, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic work is a plus.
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas.
- Regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, including stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like OSHA-compliant respirators, and work in confined spaces or narrow passageways.
- Clean-shaven face for safety reasons (to ensure respirator seal).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass pre-employment background screening.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience; termite control experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses/certificates as required by law (covered by us).
- Basic math skills for mixing products and following instructions.
