DC Material Handler

Overview

Role summary:
Responsible for handling and moving raw materials and finished goods in the converting area or distribution center. The associate may operate a forklift and assist with inventory-related activities, yard and trailer coordination, and general warehouse tasks.

• Only work 3 (36 hours) to 4 (48 hours) days per week.
• Operate forklift; may operate Box Clamp.
• Assist in receipt and storage of incoming raw materials or outgoing finished goods.
• Read and understand Bill of Ladings and ST/OT paperwork.
• Operate a scan gun and load data into JD Edwards system.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts as needed.
• Inspect trailers for loading.
• Wrap and move finished goods from production to designated warehouse location as needed.
• Dump trash and keep warehouse space clean.
• Perform and document truck inspections and facility yard inspections at start of shift.
• Transport empty and loaded trailers for distribution center and production facility.
• Keep facility yard and parking lot clean, safe, and organized; communicate yard, parking lot, and trailer status to distribution and production personnel.
• Keep trucks clean and notify management of any mechanical issues.

This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive position (an associate’s inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate’s safety or the safety of others).

Product Security Sensitive – As a product sourcing facility, our customers require Rockline to possess security standards and procedures to guard against the introduction of unmanifested cargo (e.g., illegal drugs, explosives, weapons, and people) into outbound shipments. This position has contact or influence over these outbound shipments and is considered Product Security Sensitive.

• High School diploma or GED, required.
• 1 - 2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task and solve issues in a timely manner.
• Must be able to work with speed in a fast-paced environment and with accuracy.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must have good attendance.
