Job Summary/Purpose
The analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the sales and billing performance of the products and services. This role focuses on collecting and interpreting sales and billing data, identifying opportunities for process improvements, creates presentations and ensuring the products and services comply with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
The analyst provides analytical support, assisting with sales and billing reporting, modeling and business case development, presentations, and controls, as well as highlighting key issues and identifying items that may impact profitability.
Job Duties /Responsibilities Data Collection and Analysis:- Gather and analyze data from various sources, such as accounting and finance, operational metrics, and regulatory reports.
- Employ strong analytical skills to manipulate large, unstructured datasets to support ad hoc analysis and various presentations.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales and billing processes supporting the utility's products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance product performance, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide recommendations on resource optimization to ensure efficient and cost-effective product delivery.
- Monitor the operational performance of the utility's products and services to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Identify and address any operational issues that may impact regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain sales and billing performance dashboards and reports for the product management team and other stakeholders.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis of data.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the product team, billing, marketing, sales, and operating company customer service teams to provide data-driven insights and support product-related initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations and create presentations effectively to various stakeholders, including senior management.
Bachelor's Degree in technical or business-related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position- Analyst I: 0-2 years of relevant professional experience
- Analyst II: 2-4 years of relevant professional experience
- Analyst III: 4-6 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong data collection, analysis, and interpretation skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a discipline. Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience.
Business ExpertiseExperience with utility, specifically products or programs. Experience with or strong eagerness to learn/adopt Agile ways of working.
LeadershipTeam-oriented and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving results, especially via influence management.
