Job DescriptionEducation: Bachelor’s degree in communicative science and disorders.
Texas license as Speech‑Language Pathology or Assistant granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Master's degree in communication disorders and successful performance on national exam in speech‑language pathology (CCC/CFY preferred but not required).
Experience: Fifty hours of clinical observation and assisting experience as required for licensure.
Special Knowledge/Skills- Ability to use the accepted tests and measurements to assess and evaluate communication disorders and conditions.
- Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech‑language disorders and conditions.
- Ability to align speech and language goals and activities with student curriculum and education programs.
- Ability to instruct and manage student behavior.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
