Key Responsibilities
Lead Pastor: A pastor called to be a primary spiritual leader of the Christian faith at Arise Community Church. Guides the Arise community in the accomplishment of its God-given mission. He will focus on continued spiritual growth and guidance through sound biblical teachings at the church and in the community. It includes planning and preaching at Sunday services; teaching; offering pastoral care;
visitation; conducting weddings/funerals; overseeing baptisms and the Lord’s Supper; managing daily church operations and staff; developing shared vision strategies of evangelism, discipleship, and community; shepherding the Arise congregation; working closely with the Elders and Deacons; and creating programs that are consistent with the Arise Mission. OR A
Experienced Student Pastor that is called to transition to a Lead Pastor position:
With God’s guidance, the Student Pastor will be mentored by our current Spiritual Formation Pastor for the eventual role as a Lead Pastor. He will initially focus on the oversight of the student program (6th grade
-12th grade). He will provide spiritual guidance for all ages, promote spiritually rich Bible-based programs for students, and develop organizational leaders. He will be called to Arise and our community to pursue our God-given mission.
- Provide pastoral care

- Provide spiritual counseling
- Sherpherding, mentoring and engaging church family toward spiritual growth
- Oversee church ministries and staff
- Establish outreach programs
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Oversee church operations
- Oversee children, students, and adult ministries
- A Christian pastor with a clear sense of vocational calling
- Focused on Bible-based preaching, teaching, and discipleship
- Currently ordained minister or in the process of seeking ordination
- Willingness to participate in educational and enrichment opportunities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on theology or possessing significant pastoral experience
- Strong leadership, communication and administrative skills
- Ability to adapt and manage diverse ministries as the church grows
- Ability to develop new approaches to reach out to congregants and the community
