EMT Intermediate

* Inspect, clean, and maintain emergency vehicles, medical equipment, and supplies.
* Restock and ensure readiness of advanced life support equipment and medications.
* Complete patient care reports and related documentation accurately and in compliance with policy.
* Participate in training programs, continuing education, and skill evaluations to maintain required certifications and enhance proficiency.
* Perform related duties to support operational effectiveness and ensure public safety.

** Valid driver’s license. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with County policy. Possess a current New Mexico EMT-Intermediate license or another state/National Registry EMT-Intermediate license/certification with the ability to obtain NM EMS Bureau reciprocity temporary license within one (1) month and complete the full license process within six (6) months. Must maintain throughout employment a valid New Mexico EMT-Intermediate license Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification.

* Remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, medical personnel, and the public.
* Operate emergency vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.

* Perform physically demanding tasks in hazardous or unpredictable environments.
* Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as operational needs require.
