STANDING POSITION, APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED AT ANY TIME. ALSO HIRING OPERATORS WITH NMED CERTIFICATION AT HIGHER PAY, PER PAY PLAN

• Install and maintain water or wastewater lines
• Learn to operate equipment including a backhoe
• Perform maintenance on the City’s water or wastewater system
• Train on-the-job for your NM Water Operator Certifications
• Obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license and traffic control flagger certification with our help
• Within your first 16 months, obtain NMED Operator 1 certification and receive a pay increase

• Motivated individuals who want to serve the Española Valley as part of a great team while learning a skilled trade on-the-job!
• High School graduation or GED
• NM driver’s license with a clean driving record
• 1 year of experience in a maintenance or laborer job
• (you can include your part-time work during high school, or summer work on a family farm, etc., to meet the experience requirement!)

• Must be willing to obtain a New Mexico Water or Wastewater Level I certification within 16 months and CDL class B within one (1) year from hire.
