DKD Enterprises LLC is currently looking for an Electrical Commercial Foreman in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.

Scope of Work

Directly responsible for leading and working for all crews on the project. Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the residential, commercial and industrial electrical industry. This position will lay out work and make certain that materials, tools, equipment and information are on the job site in the proper locations to meet construction schedules.

Position interacts with Superintendent and/or Project Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directs the work of journeymen, unlicensed journeyman and apprentices, which includes disciplining employees as necessary, assigning job duties, adjusting employee grievances, recommending hiring, suspension, layoff, firing, and transfers.
  • Coordinates with DKD Project Manager.
  • Attends all required jobsite meetings.
  • Responsible for materials and tools.
  • Installs all work effectively, and deals with installation issues.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all tools and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots all-electric systems.
  • Monitors progress of work.
  • Possesses skills of lower job titles.
  • Clearly understands and complies with Company/Job Safety Requirements (O.S.H.A.).
  • Plans, prepares work and schedules.
  • Accurately organizes materials and tools in order to maintain clean and neat work areas.
  • Knowledge to accurately oversee time reporting and proper coding of timesheets.
  • Has ability/knowledge to fairly evaluate fellow employees' work performance.
  • Must have ability to coordinate job progress with other trades, contractors, owners, etc.
  • Schedules timely inspections to meet assigned project deadlines.
  • Must submit timely reports as directed by supervisor/manager.
  • Must be able to safely use and instruct proper use of all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders and KO punches.
  • Supervises assigned job site employees to complete projects.
  • Works energized circuits with company approval and within company safety standards.
  • Foreman I- must be able to run a job with a project cost of less than $1,000,000. Foreman II- must be able to run a job with a project cost of $1,000,000 or more.
Job Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Positively identify colors of wires.
  • Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same.
  • Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
  • Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
  • Must be capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or equipment.
  • Able to use 2‑handed tools / equipment (i.e., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.).
  • Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, lift trucks in a safe manner.
  • Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in DKD’s Safety Manual, Haz‑Com Policy and Lockout/Tagout Policy.
Education and Experience Required
  • Journeyman or Masters License.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High School graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of 6 years of previous experience.
  • May be required to operate straight or automatic transmission style vehicles.
Working Conditions/ Physical Functions
  • Mandatory compliance with all DKD Enterprises Policies and Procedures.
  • Mandatory compliance with all Owner and General Contractor Policies and Procedures.
  • Mandatory compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Job may require working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities. (Porta‑Johns).
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to lift by oneself work loads of 51 lbs.
  • Possess good vision/hearing. (Normal or corrected).
