We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team and support the financial operations of our facility. The Bookkeeper/Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and providing timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing accounting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
** This is a temp to hire opportunity. **
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process vendor invoices, customer payments, and employee expense reimbursements.
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and process payroll or coordinate with the payroll provider.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor inventory transactions and assist with inventory reconciliations.
- Track manufacturing costs and support cost accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Support external accountants during audits and tax preparation.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; manufacturing or food industry experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and manufacturing processes is a plus.
