Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

+ Process and enter invoices accurately into the accounting system.

+ Assist with clearing existing accounts payable reconciliation backlogs.

+ Review financial transactions for completeness and accuracy.

+ Reconcile vendor statements and identify discrepancies.

+ Research and resolve invoice, payment, and account issues.

+ Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.

+ Support month-end accounting activities as needed.

+ Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure timely completion of AP processes.

+ Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

+

Experience with JAMIS, Deltek, or other accounting/ERP systems.

+ Experience assisting with reconciliations and invoice processing in a high-volume environment.

+ Prior experience supporting finance or accounting teams within nonprofit, government contracting, or research organizations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Silver Spring, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
