Location: Silver Spring, MD - Hybrid schedule! On-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays in-office
Salary Range: $65-95k (Based on experience, education, and certifications)
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive grants and contracts administration experience supporting biomedical research and/or healthcare programs
- NIH experience is the most important to this HM!!!
- Experience working within a research administration office, sponsored programs office, university, academic medical center, or federal grant-making agency
- Knowledge of NIH Grants Policy Statement, FAR and DFAR clauses, OMB Circulars A-110, A-122, and A-133, and 45 CFR Part 74 Appendix E
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Grants & Contracts Specialist to support the pre-award team at a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare and research organization supporting high-impact grant and research initiatives. This individual will serve as the primary sponsor-facing contractual and administrative point of contact from application submission through notice of award while ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements and proper setup within Children's grants management systems.
Responsibilities- Independently manage grants, contracts, and clinical trial agreements from federal, non-federal, state, local government, private foundation, and pharmaceutical sponsors
- Review grant proposals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with sponsor and organizational requirements
- Coordinate proposal submission timelines and ensure on-time submission of applications
- Serve as an expert resource to faculty and departments regarding grant administration and proposal requirements
- Submit finalized proposals to funding agencies and sponsors
- Coordinate required approvals and documentation with institutional signing officials
- Negotiate legal terms and conditions for industry-sponsored clinical trial agreements
- Review contracts and support contract negotiations as needed
- Coordinate with the Clinical Trial Office regarding patient-care budget requests
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, sponsor guidelines, and institutional policies
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure award terms and conditions are met throughout the grant lifecycle
- Maintain accurate documentation and support research administration processes
