Kumi Construction Management Corp. is seeking a highly motivated Construction Inspector to provide inspection services in Harford County, Maryland and the District of Columbia, with a strong background in pre-cast concrete construction and field inspection. This role involves inspecting construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry
- Demonstrated experience working with pre-cast concrete systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Valid driver’s license
- Concrete Technician certification (ACI or equivalent)
- Experience inspecting municipal, water, transportation, or public infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Maryland construction standards and practices
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Monitor installation of pre-cast concrete elements, including quality, alignment, and placement
- Document daily construction activities, quantities, and materials used
- Identify and report non-conforming work and assist with resolution in coordination with project engineers and contractors
- Verify materials and workmanship meet project standards and approved submittals
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project-specific requirements
- Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and County staff
- Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and field documentation
