The Tuberculosis Control (TB) Program provides screening, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis. This is a multidisciplinary team that provides specialized, essential tuberculosis care to Montgomery County residents with active tuberculosis disease and tuberculosis infection. The program team looks forward to welcoming an individual who excels in a team environment, enjoys working with a diverse population, has strong communication and customer service skills, and has experience working with electronic health records and other electronic databases.

This position has oversight of the TB Program. The program is administered in accordance with the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and the Maryland Center of Tuberculosis Control and Prevention (CTBCP). The TB Program manages all TB disease cases of individuals who reside in Montgomery County. The goal of the program is screening, early diagnosis, and treatment, and prevention of tuberculosis,and prevention of tuberculosis.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversight and management of the TB Control Program and interdisciplinary team.
• Administer the program and program practices in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines, such as COMAR, Maryland CTBCP, MOSH, and OSHA.
• Provide oversight and administration of the Local Health Department Registered Nurse Preparing and Dispensing Medications program.
• Provide management and oversight of state and local funding for the TB Program, including budget and contract monitoring.
• Serve as liaison between the local health department and external stakeholders.
• Represent the TB Program and participate in state cohort and case reviews, TB Council of Governments (COG), and other stakeholder activities and trainings.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience managing a Tuberculosis Control and Prevention program or other communicable disease program, including contract and grant oversight.
