Overview
Do you like being in an active, indoor setting? Engage with adults and children alike? Enjoy the tennis and pickleball atmosphere? Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is currently seeking dynamic, energetic, fun Tennis Instructors to fill our exciting positions at either Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at Cabin John Regional Park or the Wheaton Indoor Tennis Center.
Responsibilities- Teach group junior and adult lessons
- Attend staff meetings
- Ensure proper record keeping such as class attendance
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customer concerns and feedback and see problems through to a positive resolution
- Give managers feedback on student performance and assure students are in the best fit for their level
- Maintain and distribute student evaluation forms
- Forward all concerns to manager
- USPTA (Level 1 Instructor) or PTR (Level
1) certification as well as experience with 10 and Under Tennis instructional methods, equipment, and play formats. Wheelchair/adaptive tennis experience also desirable. - Work hours include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
- These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Wages are based on experience and qualifications and range from $22.00/hr to $34.00/hr.
- All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills, attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available) and attend in-house orientation.
- Ongoing continued training and internal growth opportunities available.
- A complete background investigation will be completed prior to hire.
