Early Learning Coach - Anne Arundel County Early Head Start

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking an Early Learning Coach for the Baltimore County Early Head Start program. This role primarily supports educational quality, curriculum implementation, and positive child outcomes across the program. The coach works under the supervision of the Education Manager and collaborates with Zone Managers, teachers, and staff to ensure goals aligned with Head Start Performance Standards are achieved.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting monthly classroom observations and providing feedback on environment, routines, guidance, curriculum, and interactions.
• Supporting English Language Learners and early literacy and math learning.
• Assisting in creating quality improvement plans and supporting Head Teachers as education leads.
• Monitoring curriculum and assessment implementation, reviewing lesson plans, and analyzing child outcome data.
• Collaborating on training and professional development initiatives.
• Supporting pilots and special curriculum or assessment initiatives.
• Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Development preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds.
• CPR and First Aid certification, criminal background check, and reliable transportation required.
