Summary

Under direction of the school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students. Creates an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of all learners, ensuring Success for Every Student. Supervises students in various school‑related settings, monitors and evaluates student outcomes, and maintains appropriate records and procedures. Facilitates communication and interaction among students, parents, staff, and the community.

• Plan, design, and implement instructional plans and materials that meet the needs of all students.
• Supervise and support students across a variety of instructional contexts.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, staff, and community members.
• Ensure proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Attend school meetings, programs, and activities outside the instructional day as required by the MCEA agreement.
• Perform physical tasks associated with the duties of the role as required.

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum and instructional techniques.
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process and ability to reflect multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into curriculum.
• Ability to collaborate with administrators, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human‑relations skills.
• Knowledge and application of the six performance standards for the Montgomery County Public Schools Teacher Professional Growth System and the Supporting Services Professional Growth System.

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.

• Meets Maryland state certification requirements in the relevant field of education.

Salary range: $64,591 – $131,472, based on education and experience.
