The International Rescue Committee is seeking interns for the Newcomer Youth Summer Academy in Silver Spring, Maryland. This five-week program aims to support newcomer youth by addressing learning gaps in English and social-emotional development. Interns will assist with student and volunteer recruitment, teaching, and community partnerships.
Interns will gain valuable experience in curriculum development and learn about the barriers faced by newcomer students. Availability for a minimum of 30 hours per week from June 9 to August 22 is essential.
