The Department of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College is seeking qualified candidates for Art History Part-Time Instructors to teach one to two courses per semester.
Courses- ART-221 - History of World Architecture 1
- ART-222 - History of World Architecture 2
- HUM-101:
Introduction to Fine Arts
- Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online and/or off-campus classes.
- This position pays between $1,217.00 and $1,314.00 per Faculty Load Hour.
- Master's degree in Art History.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and support students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and utilize active learning strategies.
- Two years teaching experience in Art History at the college level.
- Ability to teach Art History from a Global perspective.
- Experience teaching in higher education in an online format.
Only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college:
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.
