FY27:
Teacher, Graphic Design, Thomas Edison HS of Technology, 1.0 FTE (26004KA).

• Develop and deliver a hands-on, project-based curriculum focused on digital illustration, commercial art, layout design, and typography for Graphic Design.
• Manage a computer lab studio and align lessons with state CTE standards.
• Prepare students for industry success and Adobe Certified Professional certifications.
• Coordinate and oversee the program's official articulation and proficiency credit pathway with Montgomery College.

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, MCPS policies, and effective instructional practices.
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process; ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
• Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
• Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school-based staff, students, parents and community.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university required.
• Foundation office programs requirements:
  Secondary school diploma with at least five years of full-time industry experience in the discipline to be taught within the last 10 years, or a bachelor’s degree in education with demonstrated industry experience is required.
• Industry licensures and/or industry certification preferred.
• Certificate License:
  Meets Maryland state certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
• The wage range for this position is a salary between $66,690 and $135,745 based on education and experience.
