Constellation Energy is seeking a Control Room Operator to oversee real-time operation of power generation and distribution assets in a 24/7 environment. You will monitor SCADA and control systems, respond to alarms, adjust operating parameters, and coordinate with field crews to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient energy delivery. Responsibilities include logging operational data, supporting outage and incident response, following strict safety and regulatory procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement in reliability and performance within a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor SCADA and control systems to ensure safe and reliable energy generation and distribution
- Respond to alarms and system events, diagnosing issues and initiating corrective actions
- Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal performance and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with field technicians and operations teams during routine work, outages, and emergencies
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and operational documentation for audits and analysis
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures and protocols
- Support incident and outage response, including root-cause documentation and remediation steps
- Identify and escalate equipment or system anomalies to engineering and leadership
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety
- Participate in shift handovers, briefings, and training to ensure consistent 24/7 operations
