Risk Management Specialist – Full‑time – APG, MD – support the SAI contract.

• Provides subject matter expertise in Operations Support to an entire organization or major components.
• Works on various special programs and projects.
• Attends meetings at Command level and higher headquarters when required.
• Prepares decision papers, documents, and reports.
• Possesses expert knowledge of organizational planning, risk management, and program analysis.
• Performs segments of broad and complex studies and analyses across organizational and functional lines on a variety of projects, issues and problem cases.
• Provides results to senior technical personnel on a variety of tasks relevant to PM plans and objectives.
• Possesses expert knowledge of the planning process and project management.
• Leads efforts to define and document processes into standard operating procedures or other written procedures for complex and large‑scope projects.
• Assures integrated and coordinated short‑term, mid‑term, and long‑range planning on projects and tasks.
• Initiates, develops, revises, recommends, and implements policies, plans, procedures, and directives.
• Identifies existing or potential problem areas within the area of operations and recommends corrective action.
• Advises leadership pertaining to assigned program, briefing preparation, and objectives.
• Collaborates internally and externally and provides advice and support to the organization leadership, staff, and program managers on any assigned programs/projects for stakeholder engagements, briefings, reports, etc.
• Accomplishes detailed planning for complex management projects, issues, and initiatives.
• Provides support for risk analysis and tracking of cost, schedule, performance of projects/programs.
• Applies strong systems engineering principles to support risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution across the program lifecycle.
• Leverages knowledge of Defense Weapon Systems Acquisition processes to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions within DoD acquisition frameworks.
• Identifies technical and programmatic risks early and proposes actionable strategies to navigate roadblocks and maintain project momentum.
• Collaborates cross‑functionally to ensure systems engineering rigor is maintained in support of program goals, schedules, and mission needs.
• Background in systems engineering is strongly preferred, with the ability to integrate complex systems and manage evolving requirements in dynamic operational environments.

• Active Secret clearance level.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• A minimum of eight (8) years related experience – four (4) years military service can be substituted/utilized as related experience.
• Works location:
  Aberdeen, MD.

Salary-Exempt. We offer a top‑tier benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, employer matching retirement plan, and more. Salary range is $80,000 to $193,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical total compensation range for this position.
