Senior Database Administrator​/Engineer - Exadata

Job Overview

Glia Cell is seeking a Senior Database Administrator / Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems to a large government contract.

• Provide technical expertise for large‑scale or enterprise‑level database services.
• Practice/Technical Director provides technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements.
• Lead enterprise‑wide solution engagements for high‑quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget.
• Develop integrated and robust solutions based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third‑party components.
• Provide subject‑matter experience to assist customers through difficult business decisions.
• Design, configure and implement all aspects of the full‑stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen.
• Recommend enhancements to meet complex customer needs.

• Possess an active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• 10+ years experience administering and engineering solutions with Oracle’s database (10 – current).
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
• Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
• BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year’s experience.
• Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.

The salary range for this full‑time position is $170,000 to $260,000. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection.
