We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented mechanical/electromechanical engineering intern to join our engineering team in Coyolar, Costa Rica. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in mechanical and electromechanical design, contributing to real-world projects while developing your technical skills under the guidance of experienced engineers. These internships offer an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to practical engineering challenges and to build a strong foundation for your engineering career.
- Help in the design and analysis of mechanical and electromechanical components using CAD software.
- Support the development and testing of prototypes, documenting results and observations accurately.
- Analyze technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices. - Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback on engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain organized project documentation and keep detailed records of design iterations.
- Support the preparation of technical reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
- Comply with safety protocols and industry standards in all laboratory and field activities.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and increase efficiency within the engineering department.
** Skills and experience required:** - Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical design principles.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and schematics.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their integration with mechanical components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Organized approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
** Skills and experience preferred:** - Experience with simulation and modeling software such as ANSYS or MATLAB. - Familiarity with manufacturing processes and prototyping techniques.
- Practical experience or internships in mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of industry standards and relevant safety regulations.
- Experience with technical documentation and report writing.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
