SATCOM Engineer V - Supporting PM C2 Transport

CompensationSalary: 120K-160K Annual;

- BS in Engineering, testing or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of SATCOM engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience in system architectures, terminals, waveforms, access protocols, link budgets, antennas, modulation, coding, and related protocols.
- Knowledge of MIL-STDs and certification processes.
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear terms for stakeholders.
Provide in-depth technical assessments and analysis of activities within and between programs. Support the design of system architectures, terminals, waveforms and access protocols. Support analysis of system performance, throughput and response time, operational requirements and system loading. Conduct systems engineering evaluations of satellite and terminal designs. Participate in proposal and technical evaluations for satellite systems. Support design reviews and evaluate satellite and terminal contractor designs.
Actively coordinate within and outside PM TN, including Program Executive Office for Command and Control Information Network (CPE C2IN), Army Capabilities Manager (ACM), Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), industry vendors and other Army stakeholders (e.g., Army Strategic Command (ARSTRAT)).
Serve as subject matter expert in all aspects of transmission, including modulation and coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, blockage mitigation and other algorithms/protocols.
Perform SATCOM system analysis and evaluations for both commercial and military systems using systems engineering methods and processes.
