Brown Technologies Incorporated is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join the Program Manager Mission Command (PM MC) team. This position involves a combination of system engineering activities and configuration management for the entire PdM Mounted Mission Command (MMC) product line. The successful candidate will act as the right‑hand to the Chief Engineer, supporting formal engineering activities and ensuring smooth coordination across software and hardware platforms including MMC‑S, JBC‑P software, Mounted Family of Computing Systems (MFoCS), JBC‑P Network Operations Center (NOC), and associated devices.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Manage the configuration of PdM MMC products, including software updates for MMC‑S, JBC‑P, MFoCS, JBC‑P NOC, Portable Encryption Devices (PEDs), and transceiver devices.
  • Serve as a key technical liaison for engineering tasks, providing support for formal system engineering activities.
  • Decompose requirements into software features and manage systems engineering documentation in support of PdM JBC‑P.
  • Coordinate engineering tasks with internal and external stakeholders, including leading technical working groups and ensuring alignment with project schedules.
  • Plan, develop, and manage software development plans with the lead systems integrator, ensuring proper coordination within product offices and external organizations.
  • Perform expert‑level troubleshooting, systems analysis, and test analysis on complex project requirements.
  • Translate system requirements into detailed test cases and perform data reduction methodology techniques.
  • Provide technical documentation and support for system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting during testing and system updates.
  • Lead configuration management tasks, including oversight of software and hardware updates, version control, and system baselines.
Required Skills
  • U.S. Citizen
  • An active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance within 30 days
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • General knowledge of networking and command and control software applications.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering Acquisition documentation and the ability to generate and update DODAF engineering artifacts.
  • Expertise in supporting systems engineering reviews, including IPRs, PDRs, CDRs, and CDRL reviews.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, including requirements development, verification, validation, and traceability, with a basic understanding of Army acquisition processes.
  • Experience in Risk Management, including risk identification, prioritization, and mitigation.
  • Ability to work onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground a minimum of 1 to 2 days a week
  • Strong technical support skills for troubleshooting and resolving test issues.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to understand and apply complex networking and security concepts.
