Drafter

The Opportunity

Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. Assist in the development of solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work under general supervision and provide guidance for less experienced team members.

• Experience providing drafting support for electronic and mechanical systems
• Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works
• Experience working within a multi-discipline team environment
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office, One Drive, SharePoint, and Teams tool suite
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience developing detailed design drawings and specifications, or
• Associate’s degree and 7+ years of experience developing detailed design drawings and specifications, or
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience developing detailed design drawings and specifications

• Experience leading a team of drafters to complete project objectives
• Experience with document and design file control
• Experience using a PDM system to manage drawing packages, including Auto Desk Vault or Solid Works PDM
• Experience designing low and moderate complex components
• Experience with CAD analysis or simulation
• Experience working with existing or creating new drawing standards, templates, and operating procedures
• Experience with audio, visual, information technology, or communication systems
• Secret clearance
• AutoCAD or Solid Works Certification such as Certified Solid Works Professional (CSWP)
• Certification Autodesk Certified Professional for AutoCAD or Inventor Certification

• Annualized salary range: $55,300.00 to $ USD, based on location, education, skills, experience, and contract requirements.
