Electrical Engineer

This is a mid-level Electrical Engineer opportunity focused on PCB development within a growing engineering team building advanced hardware systems. The role sits on-site in Herndon, VA and covers the full board development lifecycle, from schematic capture through layout, prototyping, and bring-up. RF exposure is a plus but not a prerequisite; the priority is a solid PCB design foundation and the drive to grow into more specialized areas.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, schematic capture, and layout of multilayer PCBs for complex electronic systems
• Support component selection, sourcing, and BOM management
• Participate in board bring-up, debug, and validation testing
• Collaborate with mechanical and systems engineers to integrate electrical designs into larger hardware platforms
• Work with manufacturing partners to resolve DFM (design for manufacturability) issues
• Document design decisions, test results, and engineering changes
• Support troubleshooting of prototype and production hardware issues

Experience Required:

• 3-6 years of hands-on PCB design experience, including schematic capture and layout (Altium preferred)
• Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
• Experience with high-speed and/or multilayer board design
• Exposure to RF circuit design or RF-adjacent systems is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable working through the full hardware development cycle, from concept to production
• Ability to work on-site in Herndon, VA full-time
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or another regulated hardware industry is a plus
