Springfield Presbyterian Church Sykesville, Maryland Position:
Part-Time Music Director Salary: $8,000

Overview Springfield Presbyterian Church is seeking a part-time Music Director to lead and nurture the musical life of our congregation. We are looking for someone who brings both musical excellence and a collaborative spirit to our worship community.### Primary Responsibilities
* Direct the adult choir during Sunday worship (approximately 1.5 hours/week).
* Lead weekly choir rehearsals (approximately 1.5 hours/week).
* Work closely with the pastor, worship committee, and accompanist to plan and select appropriate music for weekly services.
* Coordinate choir participation during the program year (September through June).
* Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports choir members of varying skill levels.

Schedule
* Choir rehearsals and performances occur during the school year (September–June).
* No regular choir duties during the summer months.### Qualifications
* Experience directing choral ensembles, preferably in a church or community setting.
* Ability to select and prepare sacred music that enhances worship.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* A collaborative approach to working with clergy, staff, and volunteers.
