As an Associate Financial Planner, you’ll assist Financial Planners in ensuring client happiness while following all regulatory issues.
Responsibilities- Perform financial planning analyses for clients including retirement, investments, estate, tax, education funding, real estate, and risk management needs.
- Prepare presentations, research, and supporting materials for client meetings and reviews.
- Conduct assessments of clients and prospects’ evolving financial planning needs through proactively uncovering new opportunities.
- Provide reports on minimum distributions, performance, billing, insurance policies, and tax consequences.
- Calculate required minimum distributions, income needs, tax consequences, and contributions/withdrawals.
- Maintain high‑level client contact to improve relationships.
- Stay current on industry, products, and trends.
- 1‑3 years of financial services industry experience, specifically in a broker/dealer or registered investment advisor environment.
- FINRA Series 65 required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or equivalent proven experience.
- Financial services and insurance sales experience preferred.
- Good understanding of finance and investment markets/securities.
- Attention to detail and ability to coordinate work and follow up.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $83,500 to $111,300. Final base pay will be determined based on responsibilities, skills, experience, location, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses and benefits such as health, dental, wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
