CICONIX is seeking a Librarian to support the National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM) in Silver Spring, MD.

• Administersthe selecting,acquiring/procuring,cataloging, authorityandserials controlling,processing,digitizing,binding,preserving,andorganizingalltypesofbooksandnon-book materials.
• Performs descriptive and subject cataloging and classification of monographs, serials, government and military documents, legal and legislative materials, dissertations, audio-visual materials (i.e., CD-ROMS, DVDs, videos, CDs, audio cassettes, and microforms).
• Developsandmaintainsacatalogingandclassificationdatabase.
• Organizes,shelves,andinventoriesexistingandincomingcollectionitems.
• Providescomprehensivereference,research,advisory,evaluative,instructionalandacquisition services to individuals or groups in related departments.
• Receives OSHA required annual physical for non-lab-based collections staff.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma required.
• Experience:
  
  Three (3) - Five (5) years of experience.
• Security & Background Check: U.S. Citizenship and a successful background investigation are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements.
