The main purpose of this full-time position will be to supervise and evaluate the work of lower-level environmental health specialists. This position will plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities in the Food Service Facility Compliance Program. This position will also conduct inspections and investigations in the area of community sanitation under the supervision of the Environmental Health Specialist Director.
The selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation
:
Determined by the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists under the licensing requirements for Environmental Health Specialists.
Experience
:
Two years of experience performing inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental health laws and regulations.

:
The desired candidate should possess:
- In depth experience with and/or knowledge of COMAR 10.15.03
- Experience/Familiarity with temporary food service facility compliance
1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess and maintain a current license as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist from the Maryland Board of Environmental Health Specialists.
2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
