The main purpose of this position is to direct the Prevention and Health Promotion division of the Queen Anne’s County Department of Health. Direction is given regarding administrative, technical, legal, and educational/training responsibilities for all assigned programs. This position designs, implements, and manages services including community behavioral health, wellness, and prevention programs. In addition, this division promotes and strengthens partnerships between the State and Local governments, businesses, service providers, and the communities in Queen Anne’s County.
Position may be subject to 24-hour call-in and overtime.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of health or human services administrative or professional experience, including three years at a supervisory or managerial level.
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the general experience and a Doctorate will substitute for two years of the general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.
